In the last entry, we included a link to a video to follow along Rolando's guidance to do a Fire Ceremony. We have received a few questions so we're going to answer them here in case anyone else has those same questions.
Q: What am I supposed to feel when I open my 8th Chakra?
A: Some people feel a cool sensation or warmth all over their body. But especially at the beginning, most people don't really feel anything physical, it's more of a sensation of calmness. And when we open it and share it with each other, most people feel like their hands can feel the edges of the energy field.
Q: If I do it outside do I need a fire safe receptacle?
A: Actually, when you do it outdoors with a large fire, you will burn the tip of Death Stick and after letting it burn for a few seconds, you'll throw it in the fire.
Q: Are the stories something that happened in our past?
A: Actually, the stories are the beliefs, we created from something that happened in our past. For example: someone you're starting to date all of a sudden ghosts you. From there we could make up "He doesn't love me", "He just wanted ______", "He's mean", "Men are mean", etc. And if we look back, we may notice that this is not the first time we have felt this way. So, that would mean that we have a belief that keeps recurring situations happening in our lives. And that belief, that's the story we're bringing to the fire.
Q: Why do you guys do the Fire Ceremonies on the full moon?
A: We see the Full Moon as a moment to release anything that holds us back. The New Moon is the time to set new intentions. So the invitation is to set our intentions on the New Moon with a Despacho, and by the time the Full Moon comes around, whatever we feel is blocking our desires we bring it to the fire. It's a cycle.
Q: Are the Fire Ceremonies individual or as a group?
A: We do both. Anyone can book a personal Fire Ceremony anytime. We also have group Fire Ceremonies (under Classes) on the Full Moon and those are open to everyone. And the same goes for the Despacho.
