What practices do you currently have that help you stay healthy and prevent disease? This is a concept that for most people in the U.S. is unusual. But in the Chinese culture it is common practice. For them going to the Acupuncturist on a regular basis is a way to stay healthy, and if they get sick it's time to change Acupuncturists. Here in the United States, most people only go to the doctor only when they're sick in order to get rid of the illness.
Not only that, but in China and Japan they also receive massage and Reiki regularly, they practice Qigong, Tai Chi, they eat a healthy diet, cooked at home with ethically sourced ingredients, etc. In parts of India the food is mostly vegetarian, they practice Yoga and Pranayama (Breathwork). In South America the food is also made with healthy ingredients brought from the farm directly to the market, and they thank and honor Mother Earth for the food. They use home remedies and healing practices passed down from generations, dancing is a part of every celebration, and walking is a daily activity.
In Europe you could eat gelato, French cheese, pizza and pasta everyday and not have a reaction to lactose because their dairy is actually healthy (not loaded with hormones and antibiotics), they use the Sauna regularly, and some countries still maintain the mid-day nap habit.
So, do you have any practices that help your body maintain a strong immune system? Something that keeps your gut healthy? Something to keep your bones strong, muscles toned, high levels of energy throughout the day? Something that moves your circulation? If you answered no, you're in luck! We are bringing practices to you which will help you in more ways than you can imagine! And if you answred Yes, maybe some of these practices can compliment what you're already doing.
The first practice we're bringing you, helps raise the level of life giving energy in your body. We all have this life force, also called Qi (pronounced chi) or Ki (in Japan). This it the same Qi that flows through the Acupuncture meridians. It flows through your body and sometimes it's strong, sometimes weak, rapid, sluggish, stagnant, etc. The quality of your Qi will definitely determine the quality of your health. So if your Qi is weak, you'll be more susceptible to illness. That's why we bring you Qigong, a gentle but powerful Chinese practice which helps cultivate the Qi inside you and strengthen it. It is made up of slow movements and gentle breathing to focus your intention and attention on the specific meridians and organs we'll be addressing during the practice.
Rolando has been a Qigong Instructor since 2013 and he is holding classes every Saturday at 10:00am. The classes last about 1 hour and they will be focused on collecting Qi in the three main energy centers in your body (the "Three Burners" mentioned in the Fire Ceremony video), moving Qi in the meridians of the heart, small intestine, lungs, and large intestine, as well as increasing the Qi in the reproductive organs, and the digestive system.
Sign up for the upcoming class before all spots are taken! There's 5 spots to attend in-person and 25 spots to attend via Zoom, so you can choose whichever way works best for you!
If you want to experience the self healing practice of Qigong, sign up now and choose whether you want to attend in-person or via Zoom. But hurry, remember the spots are limited! In the following emails we'll share more information about the other practices we're bringing you.
