Have you ever heard of Schrödinger's Cat? In 1935, Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger theorized that if there was a cat placed inside a closed box with a vial of poison to be released at a random time, since nobody could know when the poison would be released, then after a while the cat can be thought of as being both dead and alive. But we won't know the real condition of the cat until we open the box.
The reason we share this theory with you today is because most people tend to live in the fear of what could happen, and so they won't take a risk. "If I call him he might reject me", "If I start my business I might fail", "If I exercise and eat healthy I might not lose weight", etc. And they fail to realize that they are in a "Schrödinger's cat" situation; they won't know until they "open the box".
Now, for this conversation we'll say that we have heard similar fears "What would my healing journey look like?", "Who would I be without this pain/condition?", "Can this be healed?", etc. And these fears tend to keep people from moving forward into their healing journey. And when this happens, we invite our clients to look at the situation with curiosity rather than fear, and this curiosity can allow them to face these questions with excitement instead. So what's inside the box? We don't know, but let's find out!
Many times we have had clients who come for the first time and at the end of their session they say with a sigh of relief "I don't know why I was so nervous to come here." Some have told us they were parked outside before coming in, with their hands shaking or feeling anxious for no apparent reason, and almost cancelled. Some have even booked and cancelled several times before actually coming in for their appointment. And for most of them they say they felt the uncertainty of not knowing "What's in the box?".
In addition, we also believe that their highest self knew this was going to be a significant moment in their lives, and that they would never be the same again. That the growth, the healing, the freedom they were about to experience was going to surpass any current expectation. And that the road to get there was not going to be easy. So that was what they physically experienced before even walking in; their bodies could feel on some level what was to come.
And we've come to this conclusion, of course, because it's also what we have heard from clients who have gone full journey with us and at the end they look back and say "Now I know why I was so nervous... on some level I knew how big this was going to be.". This makes perfect sense to us. And the most rewarding part is hearing from them that they could see during their journey how that same fear of uncertainty stopped them in other areas of their lives and now they can look at life with new hope, and open to all possibilities.
So, have you ever found yourself in a "Schrödinger's cat" situation? Maybe not related to healing, but maybe before an important meeting, or deciding whether or not to pursue a relationship, or any other difficult decision? And now looking back you see that on some occasions you found out that it was worth taking the leap, and other times it didn't go as you would have liked it, but the only way you could have known was to take the risk and go through with it.
We invite you to also look at what's stopping you from moving forward today? Is there something in your life that you're not taking action yet because you're afraid of what could happen? If it is something big, like something you have desired for many years, if you're doubtful, and unsure of whether it would be a good thing or not, whether it would last or not, or even whether you deserve it or not, the only way to find out is by opening the box.
And if it's in regards to your healing; if you're wondering if we could really help you heal. The only way you'll find the answer is by booking your session and experiencing it fully. Lastly, we ask you the following, would you rather find out now, or live the rest of your life regretting not knowing and asking yourself "what if I had opened the box?"? In the words of Australian poet Erin Hanson: "What if I fall? Oh but my darling, what if you fly?".
